FISME helps Argentine business delegation interact with Indian MSMEs

Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises got an opportunity to interact with a high level business delegation from Argentina in New Delhi on March 22, 2012 thanks to an event coordinated and organised by the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in New Delhi in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), the voice of Indian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.

During the programme, after an initial address by the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to India and other Embassy officials, members of the Argentine delegation gave presentations about their companies and various products, equipment & services marketed by them.

The objective of the meeting was to explore possibilities of strengthening economic cooperation and enhancing bilateral trade & investment between India and Argentina, and facilitate cross-country business collaborations and investments in diverse sectors like food processing industries, energy, especially renewable energy (including biofuels), dairy and agriculture.


The members of the Argentine delegation represented the following sectors:

-          Equipment for meat and poultry industry

-          Equipment for industrial refrigeration

-          Equipment for packaging and processing fruits and vegetables

-          Equipment for grain storage/silo bags

-          Turnkey installations/Factories for food processing

During the business rounds, the Indian companies had an opportunity to interact with members of the visiting Argentine delegation through one-to-one B2B meetings.
