Roundtable on Unlocking MSMEs’ Competitiveness Through Digital Interoperability

On 12th February, FISME, in association with Friends of MSMEs in Parliament, convened a roundtable on “Unlocking MSMEs’ Competitiveness Through Digital Interoperability”. The discussion brought together Members of Parliament, senior government officials, think tanks, technology companies, and MSME representatives.

As MSMEs move towards Industry 4.0, interoperability has emerged as a key challenge, with machines and software from different manufacturers often unable to communicate seamlessly.

The roundtable emphasized that digital interoperability—through common standards and open interfaces—can reduce vendor lock-in, lower digitization costs, integrate legacy and new systems, and enhance productivity and competitiveness.
